A cold winter day
Sometimes when it is really cold and mommy is really tired, I dress the girls up in their winter gear and let them play out on the enclosed balcony.
Sometimes we decide to head outdoors to get some fresh brisk air and play on the playground.
And sometimes we get to meet new friends at a nearby kids play area.
An afternoon in the snow
It is still cold here, but the girls love going outside just about every afternoon to play and get some fresh air. There are three playgrounds very close to our apartment, which is nice to give the girls a little variety. We have lots of fun, but when fingers start getting cold we come back inside and warm up with some nice hot tea.

Brrrrrr!
The last couple days here have been so cold! This morning it was -25 C outside, which is about -10 F. It’s not so bad if we bundle up and if there isn’t any wind. There’s nothing quite like having your nose hairs freeze as soon as you walk outside. This is what I looked like today :
everything was warm except my face 🙂
Some ice crystals have started forming on our windows. It’s so cool to see them up close and look at all their little details.
