Time for a picnic!
This week the weather has been quite warm, but nothing unbearable like last summer. We also have some co-workers from further east who are traveling through the big city right now and so this week was a great time for us be able to hang out together. Here are some pictures from our fun time together.
On our way home, a storm had starting to come in and it was getting really windy. As we were walking by this new building that is still in the process of being built, pieces of wood and different loose objects were falling from the top. And a ton of dirt was just blowing all over the place. We made it to our bus stop with only a few tears from Violet, probably because she saw how worried I was walking by that building. Thankfully, we made it home safely.
The past few days…
We are so thankful for the great landlords we have here. Our other washer was having problems, every time I would start a load of clothes the fuse would pop and usually I would just flip the switch and it would start up no problem. Well, after doing that for a couple weeks, it decided that it was time to die for good. We had let our landlords know before when there was a problem with the fuse popping and now that the washer had finally quit working and they got us a new washer. Well, the apartment has a new washer. This time the language on it is in Russian and not German, which helps me out a bit.
Bye, Bye Grammy
Early this morning at 4:30 AM, Micah and his friend Ruvim drove Darlene to the airport to catch her 7:30 flight back home. We had a good time showing her all around Moscow, and Violet especially had lots of fun playing with her grammy everyday. Here are some pictures from yesterday when Micah and Darlene went back to Red Square to see Lenin’s body, and to visit the History Museum and the Kremlin. Unfortunately, the Kremlin is closed on Thursdays, so they didn’t get to go inside.
Thanks for coming to visit us Grammy. We had such a fun time with you!
