This Week
Hi Friends,
The last couple days have been spent studying, doing taxes (fun!), and dealing with our insurance company. It is more complicated because we live here and they work with very few foreign hospitals and of course our hospital isn’t one of them. At this point, it looks like we will have to pay for everything up front and then be reimbursed later by the insurance company. We would appreciate your thoughts as we try and figure this out.
Also, Micah’s grandmother will be heading to her heavenly home soon. We will be dedicating a blog to her in the near future.
Weather wise, it has been in the mid 30’s to 40 degrees. This means that the snow is melting! Hopefully by the beginning of April it will be all gone. We long for the days of green grass…but Katrina warmed up the house tonight by making a delicious apple crisp.
Exciting News!
Hi Friends,
We have two updates for you!
First, we are very happy to tell you that we have received all of the funds needed to provide for our Siberian trip, visa renewals and insurance!! It has been so awesome to see how He provides through His people. What is even more amazing, is that it has been only 2 weeks since we told you about our needs! A big thank you to those of you who have helped. Would you still keep our visa situation in your thoughts? We still don’t know if we will have to leave the country to re-apply. We would prefer not to, as this would take time away from our language study and it would be an added expense.
Second…
Katrina is pregnant!!! She is about 12 weeks along and so far everything seems normal. We are planning on having the baby here so we would ask for your thoughts during the next 6 months as we prepare.
Request Update
Hi Friends,
Thank you for thinking of the three requests we mentioned last week. The funds for our survey trip, visa renewals and insurance. Currently we have received the funds to pay for our survey trip plus most of our visa renewal! A big thank you to our friends and family who have given so generously.
Would you still continue to think about the $1500 needed for insurance? Also, our new visas are being processed now but it’s hard to tell how long they will take. So, if they don’t come in before our current visa expires, we will need to leave the country for a short amount of time which means added travel expenses. Please be thinking that our visas will be finished in time!
Thanks for thinking of us and checking out our blog!
