Hi Friends,
A big thanks to all of you who were thinking of us this week as we went through our language consultations.
I am happy to say that we both have improved in our Russian language skills. Micah has moved up one sub-level and Katrina, although not moving up any levels, has made progress inside her current level.
We have been so privileged to live here in Moscow for the last two years, thanks for your faithfulness to support us during this time. Our next language evaluation will take place in the far reaches of Siberia!
Bananas
Keira had her first taste of some solid food about a week ago. Of course, it was really runny with some mommy’s milk added to it. But overall she seemed to like it. Some people think starting baby off with fruits, might give them a sweet tooth, but I read online that bananas are a good one to start with because they have a similar taste to breast milk, which is also kind of sweet. She has also had some baby cereal and done really well with that too. Today I gave her a taste of some thawed out pureed pumpkin, but she did not seem to like it. She was gagging on it and made really funny faces showing me she was not enjoying it at all. We’ll see if she changes her mind tomorrow.
Here are some pics and a video of her first taste of banana:
