Six Great Years!
Hi Friends,
Today, Katrina & I celebrate six years of marriage. I have been blessed with a wonderful partner in this journey that we are on. She has given us a beautiful daughter, with our second just around the corner. She agreed to move to one of the coldest regions in the world because she believes in the importance of the work we are doing. She daily forgives my shortcomings and laughs at my stupid jokes. She is a caring, loving mother. And one of the most important things, she prepares delicious food that gives me energy to continue studying the language and culture!
I love you my dear wife – my life is exponentially better when your with me.

Guess who’s coming to dinner?
Hi Friends!
Hope your Summer is off to a great start! Today I believe we hit the 80 degree mark for the first time. The weather has been wonderful for the last two weeks, we are very thankful for it after such a long winter. Because we live a bit farther north our days last a bit longer, as I write this it is 11:10 pm and when I look out the window I still see the remnants of a sun set.
On Wednesday we have the privilege of a visit from Micah’s mom. She will be staying with us for about 3 weeks and we will be tour guides and translators for her while she is here. We plan on taking some time off from our studies so we can spend time with her. We haven’t seen her in over a year, and we are especially excited for her to hang out with Violet!
Well, that’s about it for now. After Mom leaves, we will be once again studying language full time. We have a big evaluation coming in August which will give us some of an idea about our future.
Thanks for checking out our blog!
