From Simi Valley…Mom’s Birthday
Hi Friends!
Last night we took Micah’s mom out for her birthday. We went to a really nice place in L.A. called The Tam O Shanter Inn. Caleb was able to come as well so it was a great time together. I posted some pictures of that as well as pictures of the best bagel you can get in the USA.
This week we are mainly re-connecting with old friends & on Sunday we are involved with Micah’s home church. We have one week & 2 days before we leave to head back east.

Simi Valley…Violet says hello to the beach
Hi Friends!
Yesterday we took Violet to the beach for the first time! It was a fun experience for her, at first she liked the sand and water……but soon after she started crying so we are not sure if she really liked it or not!
We also had a mini-reunion with Micah’s sister Charys. It was great to see her and to see her interact with her first niece! Hopefully we will be able to see her again before we leave.
We are having a great time in Simi – HE is so good!

From the Road – Simi Valley…Date Night
Hi Friends!
Yesterday Katrina & I had a chance to get away by ourselves. Of course, my mom didn’t mind babysitting Violet for us! We went to the 3rd Street Promenade in Santa Monica, it’s a street that is blocked off for a couple of blocks with stores & restaurants on either side. It’s cool because you can walk down the middle of the street and not have to worry about cars. There is usually street performers as well. We shopped for a little while, then we had sushi at a great place called Monsoon. It was a good time together.
Tomorrow we are planning on taking Violet to the beach for the first time and we will hopefully see my sister Charys for the first time in three years! On sunday we are speaking at a local fellowship here in Simi so we are excited about that. He is so good!!
