Bye, Bye Grammy
Early this morning at 4:30 AM, Micah and his friend Ruvim drove Darlene to the airport to catch her 7:30 flight back home. We had a good time showing her all around Moscow, and Violet especially had lots of fun playing with her grammy everyday. Here are some pictures from yesterday when Micah and Darlene went back to Red Square to see Lenin’s body, and to visit the History Museum and the Kremlin. Unfortunately, the Kremlin is closed on Thursdays, so they didn’t get to go inside.
Thanks for coming to visit us Grammy. We had such a fun time with you!
Tsaritsyno Park
Yesterday we visited Tsaritsyno Park. I was here not too long ago with my friend Tanya, but now you need to see it again with Darlene in the pictures. 🙂 You can go here for more info on the park.
* On a side note… thanks to those of you who were thinking of Micah. He has been feeling good and is back to normal.
All-Russia Exhibition Center (VVC)
Yesterday, we visited the All-Russia Exhibition Center located on the north side of Moscow.
All-Russian Exhibition Centre is the largest Exhibition centre in Moscow, about 15 million Muscovites and guests of the capital visit the Centre yearly. Micah had been here before with his language helper during the winter when it was pretty dead, but this was the first time for me and Violet and it was a happening place. Besides all the buildings, there are lots of things for the kids to do too, almost like a mini fair with rides, including a ferris wheel, games and snacks.
If you would like to know about the history of this place, you can check it out here on Wikipedia or here on its actual website.
