Tuesday

Yesterday, since we didn’t have class because of the holiday, we were able to get out in the morning with Violet and walk around. There are some nice wooded areas around our place that we like to try to explore, so here are some pictures from our adventure. Oh and by the way… the temperature here has been around 0 degrees Celsius and it’s been sunny quite a bit more these past few days. It’s so nice to see the sun and for it to feel warm. We love it. It seems like winter has been here a long while and now we are ready for spring.

International Womens Day

Hi Friends,

Tomorrow we celebrate a big holiday here in Russia, Intl. Womens Day. It is kind of like Valentines Day on steroids. Most Russians will not work Monday or Tuesday. This is the one day out of the year where all men are expected to treat women like queens. We have heard that it is very common for men to give flowers to random women on the street. All over the city, little stands have magically appeared to sell the most popular flower of the season, the tulip. Men are expected to buy flowers or chocolate for all the important women in their lives, so I bought flowers for Katrina, our teacher Viola, our nanny Larissa and our good friend Julie.

Fun days here in Moscow! Thanks for checking out our blog.

Urgent Request Update

Hi Friends,

We wanted to let you know that just one day after blogging about our needs, one of those needs has been met! I received an email saying money had been sent to provide for our Siberian survey trip. It is so cool to see how He provides for us.

Would you still keep the other two requests in your thoughts? The visa renewal fees and insurance payment still need to be taken care of.

As always, thanks for reading our blog!
