День Победы-Victory Day
Hi Friends!
Yesterday we celebrated one of the biggest holidays here in Russia – Victory Day. This day celebrates the victory we had over fascism during WWII. There is always a big parade at Red Square followed by lots of fireworks in the evening. We watched the parade on television, then took a 4 mile walk to a cathedral that I have been wanting to see for a long time. It was a beautiful day, so there were many people out walking. At 10pm, we had a great view of the fireworks from our apartment window.
For the Moms…
Where would we be without our mothers? Sure, we could survive, but I think that we would end up being people without love, compassion and grace. Our mothers were a great example to us and we are so thankful for the love, compassion and grace that they have given us over the years.
Katrina, Violet & I are privileged to have wonderful moms. We love you!
Visa Update
Hi Friends!
Awhile ago we had asked for your thoughts for our upcoming visa renewal process because there was a chance that we would not have enough time to complete it and therefore, have to leave the country.
We are pleased to tell you that we do NOT have to leave!! We received word yesterday that things will be completed in time so we can renew our visas here, in country. We are very thankful for these developments, now we will not have to interrupt our language studies to leave for 3 weeks.
In other news, the weather here is finally nice. It has been sunny and in the 60’s for the whole past week. Here is a picture from our window.
Thanks to those of you who are faithful to think about us!
