Two Birthdays

Yesterday, February 20th was Micah’s 25th birthday and also Violet turned 4 weeks old! We celebrated Micah’s birthday by going out to eat and going to a movie. Something we have not done in quite some time. We were able to do this because my mom and sister babysat Violet for us. It was hard to leave her, and I couldn’t stop thinking about her all evening, but we had a great time.

Looking back at the last four weeks with Violet, they have gone by really fast. It has been really nice having Micah home with me to help out with a lot of things around the house. With him helping I have been able to focus on the baby and get some naps in during the day. I don’t know what I’d do without him.

Its so good….

To have Violet home! In my last post I mentioned that violet was coming home on sunday. Well she didn’t end up coming home until the following wednesday. While in the hospital she turned blue a couple times so we had her taken into the NICU and they discovered that she has acid reflux. Yeah, I had never heard of that in babies either! Anyway, she is home now and healthy – we have to give her some liquid pepcid each day to keep the acid down but other than that – she is fine.

Its so awesome to be parents!

Violet is here!

Our beautiful girl was born friday morning @ 5:09 am. She is 9lbs, 2 oz and 21 inches long. She is so wonderful – what a gift from God to have this baby girl. Katrina is doing great and she is coming home from the hospital tomorrow. Let the games begin!
