Moscow

Out and About

Hi Friends!

Today I (Micah) needed to run an errand in a part of Moscow that I had never been to. So, I enlisted the help of my language helper Andrei and we went together. He was a great help with directions, I don’t think I could have done it without him. Here are a couple pictures from the afternoon.

Thanks for checking out our blog!

Just got off the metro, ready to go above ground

Metro Рижская

Train Station

Yeah, that's a ship on top - not sure what it represents but I thought it was pretty cool.

Waiting for the trolley bus. I'm drinking my favorite drink here in Russia, Kvass, it's so good on a hot day!

Photos from the window

Yes, there is something growing from the cactus

I’m assuming this little growth my cactus is having is about to become a flower. I’m really interested to see what it will look like.

After I took these pictures, I look over at Violet and she’s “fixing” the remote. Didn’t even know it needed to be.

Also, I just discovered a panorama feature on our camera. So here are some views from our apt.

From the living room window

The building on the right in the last picture is the building on the left in the next one, since we have a corner apartment.

If you click on any of the pictures it will make them a bit bigger for you to see them better.

Smog

hard to see a block away

This is what our view has looked like the last couple days. It has been in the news lately too. If you haven’t heard about it yet, you can read an article or watch a video here.
