Starbucks!

Hi Friends!

For those of you who know me (Micah)well, you know that my favorite coffee is Starbucks. The good news is that there are a couple Starbucks in Moscow. The bad news is that I didn’t know how to get to any of them….until today. Our friend Nathan showed me how to get to one this afternoon so I had the opportunity to indulge in a delicious coffee and I brought one home for Katrina too! But I won’t be indulging too often because two drinks set me back about $16, a bit more expensive than in the states.

Thanks for checking in!

Caramel Macchiato anyone?

Fun in Moscow

Hi Friends!

We are starting our orientation on Monday and our language classes will start soon after but we had a chance to be tourists again on Friday! We spent the day visiting a popular outdoor market which is the best place to buy Russian souvenirs, we took a river cruise on the Moscow river and sampled more traditional Russian food along the way. Here are some pictures of the day – enjoy!

As always, thanks for keeping up with us by checking out our blog!

The trolley bus that we will take to language class every day!

Some of the metro stations are pretty cool!

Washer

For those of you who are curious about our German washer, here are a few pics. I also forgot to mention earlier that it is also a dryer! It is handy to have the combo, but we have such a nice balcony for drying clothes I wouldn’t want to waste that space. Also less electricity used. 🙂

Washing nook in the bathroom

The first couple tries it was taking me all day to do one load! So crazy! Today I started a little earlier and got two loads in, it was very exciting! And yes, exciting enough for me to use this many exclamation points!
