Verbs…

Hi Friends!

We thought we would give you a quick glimpse into one aspect of our language study. The picture before you is a chart of the verb жить which means “to live”. Verbs in Russian are conjugated which means that the ending will change based on tense, number, person, mood & aspect. It sounds complicated, but once you remember what category the verb falls into you will (hopefully) get it right every time. This means a lot of memorizing for us, we ask for your thoughts as we study the language!

Thanks for keeping up with us.

However, we have only studied present & some future tense verbs so we have a lot to learn!

We must be learning something…

Hi Friends!

I think the Russian language is making an imprint on our brains! The other night I was having difficulty falling asleep but Katrina was already sleeping. As I moved to a more comfortable position, it caused Katrina to move and as she did, she said “Спасибо” which means “thank you” in Russian. Talking in her sleep is normal for Katrina but usually she talks in English! We have a long ways to go but it looks like the language is cementing in our heads.

Thanks for thinking of us during this process!

ps: The weather here has cooled considerably, down to the mid 60’s. The smoke is gone too!
